Nitul Chandra Das from Assam Guwahati is among only five fish farmers from across the country to receive the prestigious invitation. He is also the only fish farmer from the Northeast to be selected for the honour.
Notably, Das has set an example of self-reliance by undertaking fish farming on four hectares of land while also producing fish seed. His integrated aquaculture venture earns him an annual income of around ₹30–35 lakh.
